Kindergartner: Mooooom, are you, like, throwing up?
Me: Yeah (gag) I am (gag). I'm (hurl) ok...
Kindergartner: You'll still be able to turn the computer on for me, right?
The following day, as I, once again, found my head nearly submerged in my new friend, avocado green toilet, or as I like to call him, Greeny, I noticed I had an audience.
Three Year Old: Maaammmmmaaaa, are you done yet?
Me: Almost (hurl), buddy, (gag) I'll be right (gag) there (hurl).
Three Year Old: Can you be all done now because my elbow hurts.
Um, hello? Children of mine, ever hear of a little thing called E-M-P-A-T-H-Y?

Hope you are feeling better!
Ouch. Feel better soon! (I laugh, my kids are just as oblivious to anyone but themselves sometimes)
Awww I hope the pukies have passed on now.
I get my kids saying "Ewwww GROOOOSSS".
Gotta love their sense of nurturing.
Teenagers will hold your hair if pressed--the empathy comes at some point! Feel better.
LOL, hope that you are feeling better now! :)
Poor you. Take it easy.
Empathy must come when they have kids of their own.
Poor thingie! I'm thinking of you.
Oh gosh, so sorry! Is this a bug or morning sickness?????? :o)
Jen and the Mom Bomb hit the nail on the head.
Get better soon.
We can't do ANYTHING alone, can we?
Feel better!
Hope you are over that...I hate stomach bugs!
Oh, God, yuck!!! Feel better soon!
Not just your kid. Mine, too! Feel better quick!
You broke the # 1 rule...Moms can NEVER be sick...and you neglected the first line of the Munchkin Handbook - ME.FIRST.Me.ONLY. SHOW No EMPATHY!
Hope you feel better soon...
Uh-oh. First name basis with the toilet. Never good.
My boys have no empathy either. But I do: Oh! Poor Baby!
Hope its passed by now.
Feel better soon!
By the way, I tagged you:

There is no time for moms to be sick! Poor thing, hope you feel better.
Are you preggo???
My sympathies! I still can't drink ginger tea two years later because I drank it so much for nausea with my second pregnancy.
Pullease...that set knows nothing but "mama I need something...now" :)
Hope you're better soon!
Pregnant? Or stomach bug? Hope you start to feel better. No fun being sick.
Ugh. Feel better soon. Am I missing something? Are you pregnant?
oh, poor you -
poor them
that is why my children have a strict mommy can't get sick policy!
Daddy is allowed, but when I try they hug me and say "now you're better mom."
They've probably heard of it . . . they just don't quite know what it means . . . hope you feel better!
Oh no, I hope you feel better soon!
Ah, THAT'S why I won't have a fourth baby. I forget sometimes! My older boys used to stand in the doorway: "HE POKED ME! What are you DOOOING??" and I? Am sick the whole nine months. Gah. Poor you. If you're pregnant, eat something mushy, that comes up easy, is my only advice. My thing was Weetabix. I will never be able to eat it again, of course!
You know, there's no way around it. Kids are MEAN!
My kids are so used to hearing it lately, they don't even check to see if I'm okay.
But they have learned to give me some privacy!
Hope this passes soon!
Did I miss something - are we expecting?
BTW...see now, when you talk about puking, people automatically think you might be pregnant - when I talk about puking people automatically ask if I have a hangover.......what's does that say about us? What? because you have a little one, you must want more little ones...and because I have teenagers I must be drunk?
Hello. This post is likeable, and your blog is very interesting, congratulations :-). I will add in my blogroll =). If possible gives a last there on my blog, it is about the Servidor, I hope you enjoy. The address is http://servidor-brasil.blogspot.com. A hug.
I hope you are feeling better! I know exactly how you feel, live must cease for the children for sure!
Poor thing, hope you are on the mend now!
I am so sorry you are not feeling well! I am having fun catching up on your blog! I am going to have to get that Healthy Child Healthy world book, too. That whole blog I so related to because I am so much more environmentally aware since I had kids but it is a one step at a time thing--it can get very overwhelming. Lately I have been trying to reduce the packaging I use as the next step upi from taking my own bag to the store (all stores even though they look at you funny) and I realize how Plastics are EVERYWHERE. Who needs tupperware? I just wash out yogurt and Bummel and Brown containers and there you go!
Thanks for your great thoughts!
